I don’t know about you, but I feel the need…the need for speed!

Hey, that’s just how it goes on the highway to the danger zone. And we’re riding that highway at the Pix Theatre on Sunday, April 17 at 4:30PM to celebrate the 30 anniversary of the release of Top Gun! As soon as 50 tickets are claimed, the show is on!

Been awhile? Here’s a refresher:

Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is an expert United States Naval Aviator. When he encounters a pair of MiGs over the Persian Gulf, his wingman is clearly outflown and freaks. On almost no fuel, Maverick is able to talk him back down to the carrier. When his wingman turns in his wings, Maverick is moved up in the standings and sent to the Top Gun Naval Flying School. There he fights the attitudes of the other pilots and an old story of his father’s death in combat that killed others due to his father’s error. Maverick struggles to be the best pilot, stepping on the toes of his other students and in another way to Charlie Blackwood, a civilian instructor to whom he is strongly attracted.

The Straney-Moore Livery Stable was in the basement, which had a ramp access and grooved cement floors to keep the horses from slipping. Until recently the rings for securing horses were still visible. The upper floors were used for a grocery store, farm supply and storage. Top Gun will show at the Pix Theatre in Albany, OR on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 4:30PM. Tickets bought online are $7. If tickets remain on the night of the show, they can be purchased at the Pix box office for $9. Beer & wine will be available for moviegoers age 21 years and older. When 50 tickets are purchased, payments will be collected and tickets will be issued for you to print out from this website and bring with you on the night of the screening. No admission without a ticket. If 50 tickets fail to sell, no payments will be collected, no tickets will be issued, and no movie will be screened.
